When you're building a business from scratch, I think it's important to celebrate every tiny victory. So this is a celebratory week for me and Tay. BackMyBook has reached a significant milestone in it's maturity. We've been consistently crawling along the continuum that every new business faces from unprofitable to 'office profitable' to 'ramen profitable' to ultimately and hopefully 'beach profitable'.
We've been profitable on a cashflow basis for a while now, but we recently looked at our books and decided to issue our first ever dividend for ourselves and our invested partners. We have a very long way to go, but we also have some very, very cool stuff in the works and we are enjoying the hell out of working with some of the coolest people on the planet. Huge thanks to everyone who's helped along the way.
